Jennifer,
I was advised by a vet yrs ago to dust with Sevin powder for ticks. It
helps, but doesn't totally prevent them. I dust the horses' lower legs,
chest, tail, mane and bellies (areas where the horses seem to get the most
ticks imbedded) when I get back from a ride (they seem to pick them up out
in the woods more than at home in the pasture). Have had no ill effects
after several yrs.
