Re: RC: Curiousity Shoeing Question
Since I live in "Let's Gouge 'Em" Orange County, Calif. I bet the prices
around here are the highest. I know too many farriers who travel hours
to Orange County just to get paid top price for a farrier. Maybe I
should trailer hours away and get a less expensive price?
My shoer (A Women!!) is the least expensive that I have heard of at $85.
for hot, forged, regular steel shoes. I've paid $150. ONCE for steel
shoes when I was in a jam and needed shoes NOW, and the most expensive
farrier was the only one around that day.
Most of the time I use bar shoes or Sneakers and these prices can vary
too. My average farrier bill for one horse would be about $120.

Embarrassed that I pay way too much, but I really don't have a choice
unless I move.
