I too, had a problem with my horses feet,splitting, crumbling and falling
apart. I started him on biotin 50mg. a day and a vitamin supplement with
alot of vit. E. I also changed farriers and this one trims the foot very
evenly and finishes the edges. I 'm not sure what part of this program
worked ,if not all of it at once, but Cos has excellent feet now and shoes
stay on 6 weeks!! They are pliable and strong and the frog is healthy and
thrush free (relatively). It has also been uncharacteristically dry here in
N. Fla. so this "one rat study" might be for the birds... But I'm sure not
going to change it now. Good luck.
