saddle sore knees
I have a bum knee from a previous riding accident and I've found that I
do best when I remember to PRE-medicate - that is, take the NSAIDs
before I actually feel any pain - if I wait until I'm already sore, its
usually too late to get any relief from my meds. Long stirrups do help,
as does learning to balance off your thighs for short periods of time so
that your weight is not on your knees/ankles. Can't do too much of that,
though, or you'll be really muscle sore elsewhere! I always alternate
balance points so that I am not stressing one particular body part.
Experiment and see what works. No pain is the name of the Game!
