RideCamp@endurance.net
the great saddle hunt
Here's an option I hadn't seen mentioned on ridecamp before...
I've just received my 1999 National Bridle Shop catalog and on page 145 are
two inexpensive endurance saddles built on what they call a "Tennessean"
performance horse tree. NBS designers, Steele Saddle Tree Company, Crates
Leather Company and Fabtron put their heads together to come up with the
design. The main differences between these saddles and saddles built on QH
trees is that they have a higher gullet and the angle of the bars is
different to allow for freedom of shoulder movement. The lighter,
Cordura/leather model has shorter, rounder skirts and centerfire rigging.
They seem to be on the same order as the A-Betta brand saddles. The phone
# listed is 1-800-251-3474
