getting the horse to drink

Yes, it sure does work. (Soda pop works too.) One of my friends has a
spoiled rotten stallion who forgets to drink and gets colicky. He's got
a bucket warmer, a hay dunking bucket and flavored water if he insists.
I think she stays away from caffinated (sp?) beverages. (At least I hope
she does.)
He also drinks right from the can.
