Linda, What a great reply!! I also went to the convention (and brought
my husband along) with high hopes of meeting new people, matching faces
to names and getting into the spirit of Endurance Riding. I left, not in
the least disappointed. I had a wonderful time and even my husband, who
is just starting to enter rides, had a great time. But, like Linda said,
you have to make it happen. 

Yes, I also,  was hoping the RideCamp breakfast would of had organized
introductions but I didn't see it happening so I just asked to share a
table. I met Connie Berto that way, and Karen Binns-Dicamillo and many
others. Heck, I even spent some time with Linda, whom I just met at
Reno.

Even though I haven't been riding in rides that long, I spent a good
year volunteering at local rides, doing P&R stuff and vet secretary. I
sure met a lot of very nice people that first year and now that I am
riding, I have those friendships to fall back on.

Yes, Linda, you sure hit the nail on the head; "Make it Happen". It's
not just the Reno Convention that saying applies to, it's LIFE.
