Len - going to guess he is sensisitive to the thicker electrode.. the
one under the girth right?
I maybe should send you the thin on elike you use under the saddle?
That one is more flexable  and should not cause an irritation,
Some horses are more sensistive to objects under the girth.
I assume the girth and saddle are not moving around.

You MAY try to move the electrode LOWER away from the thinner area
behind the elbow.. move it DOWN lower.
I will get one of the thinner one off to you.
