I know people are getting tired of this thread, but this is an
important point. For self-defense a .22 is a *terrible* choice.
Unless you hit your attacker (man or beast) precisely in a vital spot,
it is more likely to just enrage him than stop him. Don't even
consider anything smaller than a .38 (and that's marginal).
