I never said that it was wrong to help out, encourage or mentor for less
experienced riders. I said it was the individual's choice. We are not
obligated and newcomers and less experienced riders should not expect other
riders to help out and be "considerate". For example - it is polite to wait
for all riders to finish drinking BUT it is not mandatory and riders should
not expect other riders to wait for them.
It's always nice to hear stories how so & so helped out another
rider...they should be commended. It just shouldn't be expected.
