I have a gelding that I'm bringing back after a two year lay-off (after
blowing a check ligament)(the injury didn't require two years, just
worked out that way). He seems to be going very well in his
conditioning and I'm planning on doing the 30 at Twenty Mule Team
in February first, but if all goes well, I'm considering Geo BB as
possibly his first fifty (he has done multiple fifties in the past prior
to injury and has plenty of LSD base, good bone, etc.)
I'd appreciate some feedback on this ride---I don't want his first
comeback 50 to be a killer. If this is too tough, I'd consider taking
him to the Gambler's Special or Lakeside Classic, both in April.
Thanks!
