These folks strap young boys, 6 to 10 years old, onto the backs of camels and call
them "jockys". They are tied firmly in place on the camel. There is no saftey release.
Many of these races include horses (ridden by rich arabs, many of them *very* green
riders) and camels, 100 + animals. A shotgun start, and a gallop pace untill the
animals slow down because they have to. What happens if there's an accident, a
camel goes down? A boy gets hurt? That isn't an issue over there.
Sell them a horse? No way! If they are so arrogant as to treat children this way,
I wouldn't send them - or lease them - a dead horse.
Who said that you can judge a society by the way they treat their animals?
