Sometimes called windgalls. Dependant on your location upon the globe.
The day after work* your horse may have some fluid buildup in his/her
lower extemities. It can and will be dealt with very nicely with icebags
after heavy work. It does for my Arabian anyway. There is a homeopathic
rememdy, but I shan't discuss it openly as I haven't really experimented
with it. I can direct you to someone who has, however. Once the tissue
pockets are formed your horse will be predisposed to have it reoccur. At
least, my middle aged Arab is so.

Personally I never do a ride without applying icebags thereafter.

* by work I mean real work like 25 miles or so.
