I have been using various other products .. and since Tom C mentioned it..
I have been using a product from Hilton Herb/ Leg Aide.
contains; Witch Hazel, Arinca, Ruta, Comfrey homeopathic remidies.
appears to work well. We use it after very hard workouts and all rides. I use
it under wraps.
Another product called 'Stockin Up' from OHC (Oiential Herb CO). Contains
Arinca and a long list of Chinese herbs.. it available from ..of all
places,, Pet Smart,
I have been testing this product for the past 2 rides and workouts. Appears
to work.
It does make my hands tingle when I rub it on her legs, no burn, just like
an increase in circulation. The chinese 'herbs are new.. well just to the
horses. Ask Joyce Harman VA super holistic vet from VA... she knows this
stuff..
the following is an AD
We stock HIL Leg Aide 500ml (pt) $12
OHC Stockin Up qt $14
Also have an onitment made from 3 hemopathic remidies, arnica ruta rhus
I use this with the Leg Aide after a ride or if I notice heat or suspect a
problem
However the leg brace I put on the list is certianly CHEAP and if it works
for your horse... I wanted to try other 'natural' products.. to see if its
worth the cost. and since my mare is getting older..these may help keep her
legs tight.
IF you are having problems, one of these products may help.
SInce these horses work hard and may not get cooled down, I always use a leg
brace product after a workout.. results the legs look great.... add to this
the use of the CS supplements. We dont get much filling at the CTR rides,
(over night tied to trailer on 2 day 50), and legs look great at vet out....
so cant knock sucess.
