If the horse is lame there is something wrong - independent of being able
to find it. What would I do - trun the horse out for rest on pasture for
10 days - all the while checking for heat or swelling and checking for a
hoof abscess. I would do stretching exercises on the horse to determine if
he had any lack of flexibability. I would watch it closely and if I
detected any lameness, then go check it out. After 10 days if all was
well, I would start the horse back slowly.
