[endurance] Partial list of results at the CT Foxfire ride 05/04/96

this was a CT national championship ride so there were a large
number of entries for a CT ride. this was a very well managed and fun ride
put on by vonita bowers - member of the listserv. perhaps vonita
will put the rest of the finishers on later. or corrections to my
list below. total in ride was close to 100

100 miles - 21 entered - 9 finished. 17 of the 21 entered the
national championship series. don't know the exact winning time
but somewhere in the range of 12.5 hours riding time.

1. melissa crain - don't know horses name but not whoajack - tenn
2. linda corry - very close only 1 horse length apart - houston
3-4 crocket and sharon dumas - new mexico
5. bernice crookshank - texas
6. aron bowers - texas
7. woman from new mexico
8. margaret ling - houston
9. irma cook - texas - about 18 hours riding

about 3 horses pulled at 85-91 miles

42 entries in the 50 mile competition

1. mike maul - houston - BC - riding time 5:20
2. bobby barber - texas - riding time 5:37
3-4 jan and lynn - texas - riding time 5:37 - bobbys daughters

the barber family above spans 3 generations and rides together.
bobby is 66 and still winning. her grand daughter hilary at 7
or so usually rides - and wins with them. she had softball this time.

30 miles - about 30 - 35 entries
