Re: [RC] Lucerne and Chaffhaye--different? - Dolores ArsteMy favorite bagged hay product is Standlee Hay pellets. We used these for our oldgirl exclusively. It's made in Idaho and I could get it in Arkansas. They bag orchard grass, timothy and alfalfa. I used both the orchard grass and the timothy. You can wet it or feed it dry. We could leave her with a bucket of it and she could eat it at her leisure. They feed a lot of Chaff to cows. It needs to be especially prepared for horses. Because its fermented I think the horses like it. But, wet, fermented feed just doesn't feel right to me. Warmly, Dolores =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
