OK guys, here's your chance to be *stars*. It
kills me for them to say "It will be authentic and true to the sport"
when they're still planning for it to be a 2 day 200 miles. What's the
point of intentionally making it unauthentic? Do they think a one day
100 would be TOO EASY? They need to attend a ride and see how much
that takes out of a horse before they insinuate that it would be in any
way in the world ethical to do 200!!
Would somebody please tell them 200 miles is ludicrous and will make it
a joke to every endurance rider?
Actually, the Northwest Region had some 200 mile in 48 hour AERC
sanctioned endurance rides before the AERC capped them. Hannah
Hollander won one of those AIR. At least some of them were elevators
where you could decide at 50, 100, and 150 miles to stop or go on.
