Re:[RC] epona shoes - anyone using them? - Lauren & Allan HornI've used them. One horse went fine in them but I decided against them. The other horse had her feet ruined (temporarily) by the shoes. Just not enough support for that particular horse. When the shoes came off I've never seen such a site, hard to describe but it was very obvious that these shoes were not right for her. This particular horse has softer hoofs. We nailed them on.Over the years, I've used various brands of plastic type shoes. They can warp, twist or move more easily then steel shoes. It is important to check the clinches and re-tighten them as necessary.
