yeah supposed to but in about 15 YEARS in the show ring I never once saw anyone disqualified. Some horses had their tails wrung so high and far to the side and were squirting out diahrea and yet no one did a thing. Some actually had lesions of some sort around the rectum. No one did anything. The one time I turned someone in WITH VIDEO for whipping a horse behind the barn - no one did anything. The show industry likes their shows the way they are - otherwise thy would have cleaned it up a long time ago. SO glad we don't have to watch such abuse in endurance. Just have to rip a few crops away and tear some spurs off eh?
So - did anyone brave the elements and go to Mojave Scenic?

I am probably late in replying to this (as I have been RIDING MY HORSES!! YAY!.. and falling off.. but that's another story) but I believe if you are caught applying ginger in that manner you can be disqualified and possibly banned/fined from AHA.
