I bought one of the best horses I've ever owned outside of Burns,Oregon from 
an old man (probably about the age I am now) who had been ill and had let a 
band of five and six year old geldings and a second band of five and six 
year old mares just grow up in huge dry desert pastures.  I loved this six 
year old Thoroughbred mare from the beginning but she was barely broke to 
lead and I told him I would buy her if he could load her.  He was a pretty 
good old horseman and he and my husband had her in the trailer in less than 
ten minutes.  Everything I did with her went that way.  Very nice mare!
