Re: [RC] horse 4 sale-not - Lif StrandAt 09:30 AM 12/26/2009, Donna Winters wrote:I acted in haste and impatiently. I responded to a potential buyer and wanted to admit my transgrations. So does that mean the horse isn't really for sale? I got a horse cheap once - a fabulous mare that also wouldn't load in the trailer. The seller said - with a sneer on his face - that I had from dawn to dinner to get her in the trailer and the sale was off if I couldn't load her because the price was going to go up. Hah. Of course she loaded! My secret? Patience... and her full sister (who we already owned) already loaded in the trailer and happily munching hay and carrots. It took maybe three hours in all - most of which time we were sitting around munching on snacks and talking (my trailer loading secret is really boring the horse into loading) - and she walked in. The seller was a jerk. We were doubly glad to pay him - we got the horse and we got the satisfaction of seeing a gloomy look on the seller's face. _____________________________________ Lif C.
