RE: [RC] Trans Tasmanian - paulHi Jay, Thanks for the detailed report. It is so interesting to hear how things are done in other countries. Just as how you were surprised by the New Zealanders feeding methods, we here in the States are often amazed at the differences in the sport when you go to another place. The vocabulary is even different yet sometimes the words can say so much. I was particularly interested in the custom you folks have of using strippers at the vet checks. It would be wonderful if we could start that here. No more dozing off and missing your out time. It might even draw more spectators to the rides. Thrones of goose down petals, peeled grapes witing for you, strippers? We have so much to learn from you people:-). It makes me even more eager to come ride in Australia someday. Awww crud, my wife says I can't have a stripper waiting for me at the vet checks..... Not even during a 100. :-( She just doesn't understand the committement it takes in this sport:-) Paul N.
