Re: [RC] 75 Mile Ride Informal Survey - Lysane CreeI have not yet tried a 75 - it's a future goal - but I think I would definitely try one as a stepping stone to a 100 for all of the reasons of A, B, C, D
Sure I think I would see the extra points as an extra motivation, as a "reward" for the effort, but not the only reason to do it. From: "paul@xxxxxxxxxxx" <paul@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tue, November 17, 2009 10:03:45 AM Subject: [RC] 75 Mile Ride Informal Survey I was wondering how many riders are going to be more motivated to try a 75 mile ride since AERC has upgraded the points awarded for completing a 75? So: Does the extra amount of points awarded for a 75 make you more motivated to try one? Or does it not matter? For those who have entered or are considering entering a 75, what is your main motivation? A) Intermediate Step from 50's for getting ready to try a 100? B) Less time riding in the dark? C) Feel horse/rider are not ready or capable for 100's ? D) No 100's close to you that you want to ride? E) Something else.. What? Just wondering Paul N.
