Re: [RC] 75 Mile Ride Informal Survey - Joe LongI've always liked the 75-mile distance but have had few opportunities to ride it. A 75-mile ride is a genuine endurance challenge, certainly more so than 50 miles, but easier logistically for both riders and ride management -- in particular, no one needs to stay up all night. I hope the new point structure, which recognizes the additional challenge of the 75, brings about more 75- and 80-mile riders and rides, so that I can get to ride them. paul@xxxxxxxxxxx wrote: I was wondering how many riders are going to be more motivated to try a 75 mile ride since AERC has upgraded the points awarded for completing a 75? For those who have entered or are considering entering a 75, what is your main motivation? A) Intermediate Step from 50's for getting ready to try a 100? B) Less time riding in the dark? C) Feel horse/rider are not ready or capable for 100's ? D) No 100's close to you that you want to ride? E) Something else.. What? Just wondering Paul N.
