I wanted to say thanks to those of you who talked about running with your horse. "Trotting out" seems to be often an issue for us with our gaited horses. Most of them dont seem to understand why
they should go a short distance in an animated manner when their running walk is fast enough to travel with us as we jog.
So, I started running with them and used my wife or others to motivate at first with a buggy whip to get their intention. Boy did it work. 3 top tens and one BC last weekend and I really dont think the BC would have happened without your running tip.
