Re: [RC] Do you wear a protective vest? However, I haven't really even considered wearing a vest until following this thread. The thought of breaking or cracking ribs sounds really painful to me. Can you guys recommend a comfy vest? The thought of wearing a stiff, hot vest doesn't sound good either, but . . . I'll take that over broken ribs any day. Carrie I never get aboard a horse without a helmet, but I have not worn a vest to date. And I've cracked ribs twice from riding accidents, it's not fun. Last week I had a mishap on an amusement-park ride and cracked a rib again. That helped bring home the point that the ol' bod isn't as young and resilient as it used to be (and heals more slowly). So I am beginning my search for a vest that will fit me well, and I plan to always wear it when riding as well. -- Joe Long aka ChipRider jlong@xxxxxxxxxxxxx =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
