Re: [RC] AZ Livestock Inspection at Border? - Rebecca FabiszakI think that if she is caught, her horses can be impounded and I believe it is a $10,000 fine for each horse? I may be wrong but I would stop. I have traveled to my vets in Idaho, risking this but was on my way to Dr. Clark with a lame horse. No excuse but better thank none. I have a friend who is hauling two horses for her boarder from the Twin Cities to AZ. I informed her that when I drove from WI to CA, I had to stop at the weigh stations at the AZ border for the livestock inspection, she did not believe me. I told her that it clearly is posted that ALL trailers/trucks hauling livestock must stop. She stated that she will just ignore the sign and keep on truckin'. I have tried to find somewhere on the internet where this law is posted, so I can send it to her. Does anyone have an idea on where I can find it? She also plans on bringing about 100 square hay bales to sell once she's in AZ and I don't know if she will need a permit for the hay or what? Like I said...she will mostly likely just ignore everything and do what she wants to in the end. HA! Thanks!
