[RC] Marys musings - haulnoats

Mary & Joanne,
That black stallion was Arnie Garcias, "Eli", and that horse certainly is one beautiful package. I was sure he was going to top ten when I saw them at the vet in and was so surprized when he was pulled. I guess your friend is right about the randomness of it all sometimes and the bestowment of "Luck" on others by the Tevis Gods. Your musings were so on the money except for one thing..You were NOT a "lame" crew at all in 2007. I had been planning on doing it all by myself in the first place and when I saw you all and Vicki at Robinson, Foresthills & especially at the finish line, I could not have been happier or more grateful to have your help and to see your smiling faces, knowing you had a family crises going on and were still juggling to help us out. Thank you so much again. You are right that I don't know how to "GIVE CABO UP TO A CREW". I feel it should be ME who's fussing all over HIM at these rides if he's been carrying MY butt all over. I am still a rookie at this "crew" thing and if it were Nascar racing that I was doing, I'd probably insist on changing my own tires too. I'll get the hang of giving in to a crew or perfect my cavalry skills. It was good to see you guys there once again. I love the way that you have made this an annual adventure for the whole family.
