[RC] The Benefits of Challenge - Naomi Preston

Yes, the Tevis is a Challenge.  There are other challenges, too.  Like the first 25 or 50 mile ride for a new person to endurance, or the first 100 miler a rider and horse attempt.  Challenges are all relative.  Maybe someone's challenge is working full time and having enough time to condition their horse to compete.  Or having a family and a job and trying to compete.  Or having a physical limitation/injury/disability and managing to compete. Or having enough money in this economy to attend rides.  Or the Ride Manager that puts on the ride, knowing they will lose money.  There are lots of "sharks in the tank"...... lots of people face them every day.  Endurance riding is very challenging in itself.  How about a toast to those that overcome challenges all the time?
