Swanton Pacific started all riders at
the same time, and the deadline for finish was the same for all. However,
some riders, in order to avoid an overly exciting start, would start as much as
15 minutes after the front-runners.
I can't agree more with Julie and Jonni. If you don't
like it, don't do the ride. As Barbara said they all start
together. Some are just in the back and some in the front. I know
of a lot of rides that are like that. The bottom line is MANAGE YOUR
TIME and if you can't do that, don't go..............mb
