[RC] D'Arcy Update - Long Sorry! - D'Arcy Demianoff-ThompsonJust a quick note before I have to relinquish my computer time to the next person waiting to use the computer. I am sorry I have not been able to get on Facebook. I have been transferred to the Livermore VA Hospital. They only have dial - up here. There is only ONE computer hooked up to the dial up and there are 300 patients here! You can imagine the chaos that can ensue. :( Secondly, Facebook is a 'social networking' site and therefore blocked by the VA K9 protector. I can not get to Facebook so know that I am not ignoring anyone. I just can't get there. Last, I will be working with the unit social worker to see if I can have my own dial up in my room. Small progress and hopefully success progress. If so, some time this week I just might be back online for more than two 15 minute increments a day. :) I am making some progress - finally with my legs. I will hopefully be weight bearing on my left leg in two weeks. Which means I will be able to start standing on the left leg for the first time since April 16, 2009. All of the horses are well. Kathie Ford, Kathy Sherman, Vicki Testa, Ann Blankenship, Jenny Gomez, and Liz Masters have a majority of the horses. They have worked tireless to place them in permanent homes and temporary homes. I thank EVERYONE for all of the love and kindness that they have shown to me and my family during this very difficult. Most of all I thank all of you for the support you have given my horses. There are still a couple that need to be sold. I'll have them listed on Endurance.Net tomorrow. I'd love to see these two get into endurance homes or at the very least a really nice trail horse home. Anyway, more to follow on that. My point being is that these ladies undertook an incredible task and have continued to work tirelessly - inspite of their own commitments with their own horses and families. They say the horse world is small. Indeed it is and quite visual. If ever there was a time that would convince me there are Angels of Mercy - now is that time! Christina Mac, Jennifer Townes, Daryl Downs, Raven, Patty Yardley, Deanna Del, Ranelle, to mention just a few - thank you for your support. Your emails, your encouragement, and most of all your support! I would not have gotten through the last 9.5 weeks. Please know that all of you are in my heart and soul. That I have never felt so loved in all of my life from the generous outpouring of love that all of you have shown me. It makes the days liveable. It makes the time pass easier. Goodnight, God Bless, and hug your horses and give them an extra carrot for me! You never know how ten seconds can change y9our life from being able to make it home to feed those carrots. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible." - T.S.
