[RC] OHV trust fund in CA - Cindy Collins

Just fyi-those OHV parks and projects are paid for by the OHV trust fund which is funded by "green sticker" money that OHV users pay to license and ride their vehicles in that state. The CA governor recently asked to "borrow" $90 million dollars from that trust fund. I don't want to start the whole thread of how awful OHV people are and how righteous all horse people are (sarcasm here, folks :) , but if horse folks put that kind of money into a trust fund to protect our trails, maybe we wouldn't have so many problems with access and/or trail loss. Just a thought. They pay $50 a year into this fund for each OHV/motorcycle they ride and the fund is designated for trails, OHV parks, education, safety, law enforcement, etc. Cindy
