Re: [RC] AZ - New, Fast-Evolving Rabies Virus Found - Lif StrandEvery vaccination (for critter or human) has risks associated with it. Toxins can be introduced into the body (mercury has been a common one), and some studies show that there may be a relationship between vaccinations and the increase in auto immune diseases. Further, there is always the risk of anaphylaxis from shots. While the potential for damage from any of the above may be small, and the potential for serious damage or death without vaccination may be high, the risks nevertheless should always be factored in to every decision to vaccinate. Even the most common of veterinary and medical procedures have resulted in death (I've been witness to that).and that's what all those routine warnings are about in the advertising and on the product labels. I'm not saying don't get horses vaccinated for rabies, but rather that deciding to give vaccinations isn't without potential negative consequences. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
