RE: RE: [RC] The Godolphin, the Darley, and the Byerly Turk (was: More oncolors) - heidiJust for grins, I took a gander through the Polish half of Priboj's pedigree, and found numerous lines traceable back as far as the 1810's, and a handful from the decade prior, with the earliest I spotted being 1803. Not surprising, given that the Poles/Russians had some pretty sophisticated breeding programs back then, and kept meticulous records.
So that's almost half a century earlier than Kat's recollection, albeit still not quite as early as some of the earliest "Arab type" roots in TB pedigrees.
