RE: [RC] The Godolphin, the Darley, and the Byerly Turk (was: More oncolors) - heidiTo my knowledge, there are no purebred Arabian pedigrees that trace back to the 1700s. Most of them dead-end somewhere in the mid to late 1800s at the earliest, and many of them dead-end in the 1900s. I don't know of any that go back into the 1700s either, but would add that Barq (tail male of Mesaoud, so pretty common in Arabian pedigrees) was born in 1830, and one can pick out a fair number of birth dates in the 1840s in Crabbet/Blunt pedigrees with occasional parents behind them without birth dates, so they do frequently go back a few more decades...
