I wouldn't trade my upbringing for 145k acre ranch with no horses.  I don't 
remember when I started to ride, cause I had "big" sisters that took me 
riding in my diapers, to get me out of my mother's hair.  So, when I had my 
first kid, I rode all the way up until I went into labor and then I got back 
on with him in my front pack to shut up his crying.  Worked great.  He even 
rode until he was 14 and discovered that riding was for girls.  I was bummed 
that he didn't have the bug.



As Winston Churchill said, "No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the 
saddle."  As Shakespear wrote in Henry V, "When I bestride him, I soar, I am 
like a hawk; he trots the air, the Earth sings, when he touches it; the 
basest horn of his hoof is more musical that the pipe of Hermes."
