Re: [RC] Yin and Yang - Carrie - Kitley, Carrie E Civ USAF AFSPC 30 MDSS/SGSLF

What Merri described was exactly the "dance" that takes place between my
mare and my husband's horse. However, it's seemingly my mare who
displays the biggest reaction to the changes. It's really quite
hilarious sometimes, and can also be a little bit hairy too. Lol
There are certain areas on our trail rides where she simply stops, as if
to say to my husband's horse, "ok, it's your turn to be in front,
there's something up there that eats horses." Her personality when in
front, is completely different than when following. Yes, it IS
interesting . . .

We've seen the change in "ear pitch" from the second the behind horse
comes up even with the front horse. When past the front horse, the
behind horse now becomes responsible for the "herd" and the front horse,
now behind, can relax because he is no longer responsible. I've watched
this over and over for decades. Interesting....
