Re: [RC] jockeys? - rides2far@xxxxxxxxI can't now find the recent letter in which it was asserted that it's becoming common in international endurance to put 'jockeys' up. I believe a more common practice is to have riders who help compete your up and coming horses and help you bring up more than one or two at a time...then the owner rides the horse in the big rides. I think they just use the term "Jockey" when someone rides a horse they don't own. Seem to me that part of the appeal in endurance is that a very wealthy person can actually participate and ride for a change rather than just write all the checks and watch from the grandstand.
