Re: [RC] why not to tie your horse in the trailer - Barbara McCraryYES! Done this a couple of times...had a horse try to get out, slip and slide under the trailer with his hind legs.I prefer tying a horse in the trailer because I don't want any attempt of the horse trying to turn around. That's been tried, too. The reason for that was that if the horse started to back out and hit the end of the rope, it would be more likely to panic and start pulling back & scrambling around due to the sudden restraint. Based on the few times I've forgotten to untie before unloading - I can state that is pretty accurate. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
