[RC] Hard Headed Horses - susan cooperFor those hard headed horses who react to pressure with double the amount of pressure back, please try clicker training. It is so much nicer to have a horse that will work with you rather than having to have a fight every time. Once you teach targeting with the clicker, you can use the target to slowly, inch by inch, get the horse in the trailer with NO pressure. I targeted using a soccer cone from Wal-Mart (6 for like $2.99) and used to keep it in the trailer. Now, my horse will do anything for a piece of carrot! Susan in NV read my blog to see why I ride my horse in pink: http://desertduty.blogspot.com/ “Do what you feel in your heart to be right - for you'll be criticized anyway. You'll be damned if you do, and damned if you don't.” Eleanor Roosevelt __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
