Re: [RC] EC DQ - oddfarmMy daughter is on her track team at college. We were told at a mandatory meeting for all athletes that at any time, they could be tested for illegal drugs. ANYTIME, not just after a meet or race. It could be during practice, study hall, dinner time, ANYTIME! There are no fines, or suspensions. You are expelled from the team. Permanently. For someone like my daughter, who lives and breaths track, that is a death sentence.Wouldn't it be nice to catch the idiots who run horses doped up BEFORE they race the crap out of them? What a peculiar idea! Yes, I know there is no way to know who the winner would be. What does that matter? Maybe the rules should address drug testing BEFORE competition rather than after. I guess there are all kinds of excuses as to why that wouldn't be fair, but those excuses would be for the rider, not the horse.
