I own a Wiking daughter both parents are Polish imports

finish with her eyes closed and snoring. I have never owned a calmer
horse in my life. I still think you must judge each horse as an
individual how they were handled and brought along is just as important.

My old fellow was 1/2 Polish - a Witez II grandson, and while he could
be laid back in the corral, I would still call him "hot", especially
in a race situation. I still remember him trying to race the crew
vehicles going down the road past us, and me saying "Slow down,
dammit!". He was 2 weeks away from his 25th birthday ...
My current horse is pure Polish, and I would judge him as generally
hotter than Shadow was. He can be very calm - deer and turkeys
popping out of the bushes don't bother him at all, but a race? A group
ride? My biggest issue with him right now is 'race brain'.
So - based on my 2-horse study, I would say that you can get hot
horses in the Polish lines as much as the others. My advice would be
to judge the individual horse, and perhaps investigate the parents,
and any close relatives to get an idea of temperament.
