Re: [RC] "ask the mechanic" (was tire pressures) - Truman PrevattOil blends and formulations and engines have come a long way in the last 20 years where it was "every 3000 miles." A lot depends on how you drive. Open highway driving is easier on you engine and your oil will last longer than stop and go driving in the city. Pulling a heavy load will require more frequent oil changes than not pulling a heavy load. What does you manual say about oil change intervals? The computer estimates the oil change interval based on how the vehicle is driven. I don't know if I would believe it 100%, but use it as a guide.Truman Sharon Levasseur wrote: Quoting Rick Jackson <am2aracehorse@xxxxxxxxx>:(ASE Certified Master Automobile Technician w/ 28 years experience) -- “The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently.” Friedrich Nietzsche =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
