[RC] lawsuit - terre

A rider sues a ride vet. It goes into litigation. The vet's malpractice =
insurance represents him/her. AERC is aware but 'does nothing.' Doesn't =
matter how the case is decided because the insurance company will do =
what's in their best interest.

What matters to me is the smaller picture of a rider actually bringing =
suit against a ride vet but what does this mean for ALL of our rides =
vets???

Then, does a ride manager have the 'right to refuse entry' to the rider =
who brought the litigation? Does the ride manager who is 'employing' =
this ride vet allowed to refuse entry to this rider in the future? If =
the answer is 'no' the vet could very well walk out, leaving no vet for =
the entire ride.

If AERC wasn't involved in the lawsuit (perhaps even if they were) and it was settled by the insurance companies "out of court"--then how would other ride managers know about it? (officially?) Or, how DID they know about it? Can/should they ban riders based on anecdotal information? Lacking publication of the details, what other information is available to them? Hmmm.
