Re: [RC] Just for bringing suit - Beth WalkerHowever, I want to add -- that is on the assumption that the rider in question does not encounter gross negligence, or some other situation that is way past acceptable.IMO - such a waiver says that I'm not going to bring suit because I got DQ'd, or pulled, or overtime, or something didn't go my way. It also says that I will not bring suit when "stuff happens", and everyone did their best in the situation, even if the final outcome was bad. It doesn't absolve them of all responsibility to provide competent care, and a reasonably safe venue. On Jan 16, 2008, at 8:31 AM, Beth Walker wrote: OK -- I stand corrected. If you sign a waiver, and then bring suit, then I would consider that grounds for refusing entry. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
