[RC] JOY of horses - Kitley, Carrie E Civ USAF AFSPC 30 MDSS/SGSLFKeith, that's a fabulous topic! My horse's give me more Joy than I can even try to explain. Just smelling them and being in their presence, makes my day. I don't get to see mine every day since we board ours. Ember (aka LP Lisa) - 15 yr old Chestnut Arab mare: She came into my life 2 years ago and we had a very rough beginning. I hit the sky many times and we butted heads. I almost gave up and put an ad on Dreamhorse.com, but for some reason, I just couldn't quite "go there." I kept at it and we finally got on the same page after a year of hard work and diligence on my part. I'm SO happy with her now, she is my "soul" horse. We have completed 3 LD's together and I'm totally hooked. If not for her, I would never have considered doing anything remotely like Endurance, and because of her, my future goal is Tevis. :) Teddy - 35 yr old Leopard Appy I just rescued Teddy, sight unseen. A friend who knew of him thru some friends, told me he was going to be "put down" because his owner didn't want to take care of him anymore. There's nothing wrong with him!! He's a little arthritic, but sheesh!! He's 35! He's simply a lovely Senior Citizen. I took him in and he's now a happy, healthy, loving sweet gentleman that just loves attention. I'm so glad I was here for him.
