Micki, yes, I do know the Snows, and Laurie Barger and her
family; they live very close to Whiskeytown and I am sure they are worried
and probably getting a lot of smoke, more than me. The fires have appeared
to calm down this morning, but more winds are predicted and of course 115
degrees predicted today. It is looking like the fire has gone on past the
road where they live, thankfully. Still, the fire is awfully
close to them. They have tons of friends up here that would take their
horses to if they needed to evacuate. By the way, Micki, Wow,
anyone than can RUN Kanaka is TOUGH! I have seen Laurie and Christie
running it while I was riding. Heck, it's a real workout RIDING it!
Especially when we climb it backwards! renie
