The hardest part is definitely getting there. I don’t
get sick (knock on wood), don’t find it hard to get back into the saddle
at Foresthill (only reached there once and had a good crew to shove me onto my
horse), and live close so I don’t stiffen up ‘til I’m
home. So the toughest part, after getting to the ride, was climbing up out of
the two big canyons in the heat. Look at the elevation profile on the Tevis
website and you’ll see why.
