Texas has a high occurrence with EIA - probably the highest in the country. In the SE you have to have your Coggins to move your horse on the roads - period. In Florida you have to have a copy of your Coggins on your horse when you ride - period that's the law and you will be checked. In Fl you have to stop at Ag stations and show your health papers. The same is true in all of the SE - except it will probably be on the road. I've been stopped on the road in GA and KY. Not a problem I have a passport for my horse. No one here seems to mind - in reality it's in our (the horse owners) best interest.
